Our Story

Herbert N. Krauss Tax and Accounting was originally formed by the husband and wife team of Herbert & Linnea Krauss in 1975. After the death of Herbert in 1980, Linnea took over the company changing the name of the firm to Condominium Financial Management (CFM) and retaining only the contract service related to Common Interest Developments. CFM is a member of the Management Firm Council of the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). The company was awarded the prestigious Certified Management Firm designation from CACM in 1999.

Linnea Juarez is a founding member of CACM. She was among the first 35 managers to receive the Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) certification in 1993. She was elected to the Board of Directors of CACM in 1994 and was elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Board in 2000. During her time on the Executive Committee she served as both the Treasurer and Chairperson. Linnea has authored and currently instructs two of the five core courses required to achieve the CCAM; "Financial Management for California Common Interest Developments" and "Ethics for California Community Association Managers". The CCAM is the only professional certification for the HOA industry specific to California managers. She also authored "Advanced Budgeting for CID's" for CACM and continues to work with CACM to update these courses as changes to the law require.

Linnea was awarded the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation by the Community Association's Institute (CAI) in May 1990. She is a senior instructor for CAI's Professional Management Development Program courses. She is also the author and instructor of the CAI course "Bookkeeping for Community Associations". Linnea is a past Chairperson of the CAI National Accountants Committee as well.

Stacie Donnelly, daughter of Herbert & Linnea, joined the firm after graduating college in 1994. She started her career with CFM as a financial preparer and is now the Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Stacie is a past board member of CACM serving a three year term. She earned the CCAM certification in 1997 from CACM. She volunteers on both the Ambassador Committee and the Northern California EXPO Committee. She is an instructor for CACM, teaching the 'Advanced Budgeting' and the 'Financial Management' Course. Stacie is also a member of CAI and was awarded the prestigious PCAM designation in 2000. She was elected in 2006 to serve on the Board of Directors for the Bay Area and Central California Chapter of CAI.
